Yeah, I've got a $14,000 pile in a back room here. Truck Norris cam, American Racing stainless long tube headers with cats (I live in MA), new cam hold down with 3 new bolts, Straub rocker trunnion bushing kit, pushrods, MotoRad 180° t-stat, oil pump, block off plug for the pan and the VLOM towers (Rivet kit for towers), timing set with the 4x gear to work with the 58x crank sensor, Magnuson SC, head gaskets and every seal, a bunch of LS specific tools I needed, and a handful of other stuff I'm probably forgetting.

Definitely can't go wrong dollar for dollar rebuilding what I've got.

Heads will be getting rebuilt, but staying stock.

We're between 300' - 1,000' - not very high.

Yeah would've been a better choice 15 years ago to get it dyno tuned. Might have saved the engine. Who knows. I've learned a long time ago that trying to save a buck in the mechanical world will bite you in the *** a ways down the road. This is a prime example of that.

And don't even get me started on having to reset the fuel composition with the scan tool after EVERY fill up. More joys of the GMT-900 series flex engines. Can't wait until that b/s is gone.

Whelp, I QUIT!

Threw in the towel, and bought me a nice, SIMPLE, rust-free '93 W250 with a Cummins & a 5-speed. The Silverado and ALL the go-fast goodies are up for sale. I'll be listing them all in the classifieds as time allows.

I HATED working on this truck anyway, and was dreading this project. Feels like a giant weight has been lifted off my shoulders. If someone else wants to take on this project, hit me up! Truck has 134,590 miles as of now, still runs like a top. I towed that 7,500 pound beast home with it without issue. Undercarriage was oiled every fall, so it's in MINT shape. Only rust / rot is over the rear wheels (fenders). If you want the whole package of the truck, the stock 18" wheels with Blizzaks mounted, and all the go-fast stuff, we can work out a price.

Just went on a 900+ -mile towing run to the northern tip of ME with the new Dodge last weekend. WOW does that thing PULL on the highway! Had a lifted '90 GMC truck on the trailer, too. Towed that at 75 MPH no problem, and got better mileage to boot. The truck is still stock, too, aside from someone fiddling with the fuel pump a bit. Lots of untapped power to be had! Should've done this 16 years ago.

Live and learn!

Ah just as we suggested!

Congrats on the Dodge, don’t forget we still accept those here! My buddy is finally getting started on his 2nd gen.

That is a cool looking Dodge for sure. Can't go wrong with Cummins and towing, especially the older trucks. Simple and just works.
