what band clamps?

Default what band clamps?

are you guys using on your LT's at the collector? Mine keep leaking and starting to **** me off. They are this style that's on the truck now which SUCK.

those are butt-joint band clamps, shouldn't you be using the slip-fit (or lap-joint, whatever their called) band clamps for the collectors? I dont remember how the collector is on the pacesetters.

something like this?

^ the collect is 3" on the pacesetters and my Y pipe is a 3"

try tightening them, or you could always take them off and apply some high temp rtv inside the clamp..

it sounds kinda ghetto but it should work if you only have a slight leak. and if you wipe off the excess youd never know it was in there.- just an idea...

tried tightening them. They are cranked as much as they can be. I'm about to just weld it

Ball and socket joints. Don't weld it, trust me it's a PITA!

+1 high temp silicone or try this take the clamp back off wrap in some aluminum tape exhaust tape then put the clamp back on

I just used these yesterday on a set of Pace Setter headers. They have some sealer on the seem so it seals better and I tightened the CRAP out of them with my 1/2 impact, till the 2 halfs of the clap touch. They're a pretty much one time use if you expect then to seal though. They stretch to form fit around the joint. No leaks at all with the set I did.
