Default Went to hub this weekend

and ran the truck. Kinda disappointed in the 4.10s. They got me out of the hole but i had to shift to 4th about 50 or 100 yds from the line. Shoulda went with 3.90s or 3.73s. I hoped it would even out with the 28.5 inch tires but i guess not. Heres the slips. Reaction times need a lil work.

Default Stock cam

I was shifting at about 5000-5300. The stock cam kinda fades out after that lol.

you have the 4.8 right?? **** that motor pulled my ecsb 4.8 over 118mph in 3rd gear, your crazy thinking it ran out of motor at 88mph, your second gear will pull it allmost to that point.
oh yeah i had stock cam and stock converter shifting at 6400 1-2 and 6250 2-3 and 5800 3-4.

He's got a 5-speed so with the 4.10's and shifting at 5100rpm he probably wouldn't goin' bout about 50 or so tops. My truck has 3.73's and i shift out at 6100 and i'm doing 61 before the shift, it grabs 3rd and speedo shoots to 70 and stays for split second and starts pulling again. So i suggest holding out on shifting til at LEAST 5800, my truck pulls great up to 6000 with the stock cam in it.

I think you should be shifting at least at 5800rpm.

The stock cam peaks around 5300rpm, but you should shift about 10% higher in the powerband which equals 5830rpm. Well thats how it works on Automatics, might be a little different on MTs.

You need to get that TR220 or TR224 in there and problem solved.

Yea thats the place. I usually go on sat nite or sun every couple of weeks. Nice place, but they need some more bleachers.
