Default very pleased with UPD intake

Honestly, I didn't think a CAI could improve on GM's setup, which is why I've been very hesitant to spend the $$$ on one. I must say though, the UPD CAI has made a big improvement in my throttle response, especially when I'm cruising on the highway. I've seen some concerns about material quality, and I can see why, the plastic looks like it could become brittle over time. I'm really surprised no one has tried to imitate this design??? The air box lid is outstanding IMO. I know blackGMC was fooling around with some homemade prototypes...

Yeah I bought ine from a guy on ebay and absolutely love it. Iats are about 2 degrees over ambient while cruising.

Ya, i liked my UPD but i like my current Airraid intake alot better. The only thing i did not like abou the UPD intake was the abrupt turn into the TB... My new intake has a much more gradual turn...

for us with the clutch fan, that's as good as it can get though.

There will always be the debate about open vs. closed filter, but I think I prefer closed.
