Default UPVC intake - version 2

Decided to build an improved version of my PVC intake for my new SS (although this model has has much less PVC). Had to perform well, and look just as good. Not sure what my intake air temps will be, probably high. May need to devise a heat shield. Here is a prototype:

Opinions?

just throw a D1-SC on it Richard and it'll take care of any and all intake problems you might have.

Not bad, looks real good. I knew you couldn't leave that truck stock for long. Got a list of parts? May want to make one for my Dads truck. Mine is made out of parts from airflow online, he doesn't want to spend that kind of money. Where in the world did you find pvc with that kind of radius, the radius near the tb?

Here is a side shot:

Thats actually a piece of 4" mandrel bend exhaust. The only PVC is the 45* before the MAF.

It should flow real well, and provides a nice mounting point for my nitrous.

Leave it stock? Me? Heck, I'm almost finished modding it. This truck runs gooooood!

Hehehe...I like the name of the intake.

Looks nice and clean.

What about putting the air filter down below the metal pan where the stock airbox sits? That way it would pull cooler air from outside of the engine bay. The only thing is it might be prone to getting water splashed on it on wet days like that.
