#1
Been thinkin about gettin underdrive pulleys and wanted everyones feedback on if they are worth the money or not and also if they are easy to install with basic hand tools and such. current mods are LT headers, Tune, Built tranny and 2600 stall.. this is on a 4x4 ecsb on 33 inch tires

take a breaker bar and slide it into one of the slots. let it rest against the oil pan/block/frame.
take a 15/16" socket, a long breaker bar, and a cheater pipe...get to pulling. or just get a really big *** impact lol. you need a 3 claw puller, a new bolt, new main belt, and AC belt.

I got a powerbond thinking it would make my engine(4.8) rev quicker & all it did was make the belt squeal while shifting at WOT. That's literally the only thing I can tell a difference on.
IMO, it should be one of your last mods.
If you still gotta have it, the belt sizes are listed on Thunder Racing's website.
If you buy the UDP from Scoggin Dickey, they'll include what appears to be an ARP bolt with it.
You're gonna have to have an impact to break the stock crank bolt loose & you'll have to stay on it for a minute or two. If you replace the ALT pulley also, just hold the stock ALT pulley with a glove & use an impact to break that nut loose. Tighten it the same way.

would an underdrive pulley save a power steering pump from high rpms? i killed the pump on my old engine playing in some snow and mud at high rpms. i thought this might give me some more pep and a make my acessories last a bit longer. does anyone have any insight on that? just a thought
