Thanks for the other comments everyone, arguing and flaming would have shot this thread to hell, there's no reason for that.

Steel, and it's 1/8" plate. The original supercharger support is 3/16" Aluminum.

OK it's done. I connected the L terminal the wrong way and I think I toasted the regulator in the 180 amp alt, so I will have to get that replaced. Belt is 118.25", they had them at the local Napa, so I won't have to special order anything. I switched the position of the alts to try and clear the left alternator bolt on the stock bracket, but I ended up having to shave it down anyway, so they could really go in either location. Anyway, this is how it will look. Been driving around like this for 2 or 3 days, no belt slippage problems so far so I don't think I will be working on an idler.

Anyway, I declare this project a success, special thanks to Ryan (TPICamino) for all his help making this and Steve Meade for his advice.

looks like a killer setup. There always things that could be done different, but i think it turned out pretty good looking. It looks more original with the delphi alt. on the outside. Good Job!

Well I decided to go with two 140 amp stock units to make sure I had loads of current at idle, finally got some pics with everything all working. If I remember the specs correctly, the alts put out 100 amps each at idle and 140 each peak. That leaves me with 200 amps at idle and 280 peak. Should be plenty

Anyway, it almost looks like a stock setup with the two OEM units in there. I also painted the brackets finally, so those looks lots better. Wiring was easy, the main output of the two are wired together (see pics). The inner alt has the factory harness/plug, and the outer alt I ended up tapping only the L terminal wire from the stock alt. The only clearance issue I have left to address is the hose from the s/c intercooler to the tank - it rubs against the connector. This is it, it's done and working
