What do you mean by L terminal wire. Are the wires labeled on the connectors? I dont think mine are. How much length did the dual setup add to your belt?

stock Radix belts are in the 114" and smaller range. I'd say 4-6 inches longer.

I answered your question. Maybe you need to ask the right question if you don't like the answer to your first one.

The connectors are not labeled, but the receptacle on the alt is labeled. L and F are the two terminals with the wires attached. One wire tells the alt to turn on (and at what voltage to run), the other reports back the duty cycle to the PCM. I thought that if I tapped into both wires the PCM would get confused, so I am letting one alt report back it's load level, but both are receiving the turn on/voltage signal.

The 118.25" belt (Napa p/n 061177) turned out to be a perfect fit. My old belt was a 113" I think (will verify), so it added about 5.25".

Just wanted to say nice setup. I am currently getting all the parts together for similiar setup with an aux battery. I am making a copy of the brackets off an install for a dual alt setup found at car audio site and alternator site. It uses a ford 130 amp alt. Real simple bracket and spacers. I got a delphi elec center with 12 fuses and 8 relays and got all the terminals for custom wiring it in to the aux battery.

One reason for the dual alts over a bigger alt is I will be able to get a replacement anywhere at anytime. I wont have to special order it or wait for it if I am in the middle of nowhere.

It didn't work out so well with a single battery....the regulators in the factory alts are slightly different, and one won't kick on until the other quits running or there is enough load to drop the voltage significantly. I didn't want to mess with adding another batt, so the second alt is out. I may try to do it again at some point, but for now the project is dead for me.

I dunno...I think he was using different regulators. I PM'ed him and got no response, even though he read the PM.
