Drained the oil... Not looking good. Found a few metal shavings. None of the rockers are loose... I'm stumped... Heads will probably come off on Saturday.

Don't waste your time and back pulling the heads off in the truck. Just yank it all and work on it on a stand. It is going to have to come out anyway.

Engine stand? Harbor freight for $25 and an engine hoist for $159. Work great. You can probably find a hoist locally to borrow or rent but by the time you rent one twice you could about buy a new one.

Your valvetrain looks really dry, especially the driver's side (cylinders 1, 3, 5, 7). Are you sure the oil pressure is OK? What does the oil pressure gauge say on the dash? Like other people said, you need to take the entire engine out. The metal shavings probably indicates a bottem end issure. This is just a guess but I think your oil pump crapped out.

Oil pressure was anywhere from 36 - 42 when it was running.

Pulling the motor, heads, and oil pan on Saturday. We'll see how bad the damage is then.

Update for today:

-Drained engine coolant.
-Started removing intake and wires.
-Removed clutch fan and shroud.
-Removed belt

I'll finish removing what I can tomorrow so we can just go ahead and get the motor out ASAP.

Who knew I had this much room to work with?
