Maybe you can fix that exhaust leak already while you're waiting on the pump to arrive.

My truck was doing the same thing your explaining here right after I got my walboro put in. I went to change the pump and noticed that the middle line coming from the tank was cracked about 6 inches down at a t-junction. Ordered the new piece from the dealer and everything has been good again... GL man

nope, I have no fuel pump at the moment. I ordered one two weeks ago from a member here in anticipation that it would go out and I have not received anything,.

It was indeed the fuel pump.

Man, I went over a week with no car. Damn that sucked.

What really pisses me off is that I was planning on having this new pump put in very soon and bam it goes out. That cost me about an extra $300

The good news out of all this is now I finally have a working gas gauge after 3 years of erratic one.

One question though, in retrospect, the only sign that the pump was going out was HORRIBLE fuel mileage, like 225 miles to the tank. Why would this be?

So you know for sure your mileage is better with the new pump or is your guage just reading different?
