Default Truck BROKE DOWN crap crap

I was driving along easy as hell getting in another heat cycle on the gears and the engine just died, steering wheel locked up had to pull it to the side of the road fast. I could restart the engine it would idle for like 2 seconds then start sputtering and die. It would only rev up to like 1500. wtf....I put it in drive and it moved forward but I was hearing some god awful ratting/vibration from the tranny tunnel. NO SES LIGHT. Oil pressure is good. Voltage is good.

I'm running my tune for 3.42 gears but now I have 4.10s. Could this be playing a role somehow??? The trans was shifting firmer than normal, maybe something went in the trans???

Also I'm thinking fuel pump? But would it just die instantaneously on me?

It's just all too weird that this coincides with the gear swap. Could something in the tune be throwing off?

**** like this is super sobering. And I have a research presentation to give @ 7 am

That sucks, seams obvious, but is the tank empty?
not too many tranny/rearend failures will keep it from running.

full tank I just filled it yesterday

the truck rolls just fine in neutral

When it got off the tow truck it fired up and seemed to hold idle but it was shakey. Oil pressure was at least 50psi. If something was wrong with the engine I would imagine their would be a good change my oil pressure would be no good.

When I get a chance with some daylight I'm going to check all the plugs and wires, but I doubt that has anything to do with it. It's like it's getting no fuel.

Could be fuel pump, they sometimes last and sometimes dont.
Do you have stock manifolds right now?

Nope, longtubes. Also I have an exhaust leak at the header back end driver side. I've been getting horrible fuel mileage lately. I think the 02's have been sensing outside air and have been pouring fuel in. Maybe this put too much stress on the pump and killed it.

Ironically, I just bought a fuel pump on here from a member 2 weeks ago and this member appears to be a deadbeat, I have no pump and no communication.

I would check plug wires, a few could have gotten too hot.

I looked them over quickly when it was out there, I'm positive it's not that. The wires are bent well out of the way. The engine flat out wouldn't rev and sputtered when I managed to start it. It did this regardless of whether the gear selector was in P, N, or D.

I think I'm gonna run out side (cold as ***** ha) and turn the key on and see if I can hear the pump priming. If lord jeebus is on my side I won't hear anything.

no prime guys.

guess the fuel pump is gone. Just amazing how the thing just shat in a very second. I'm just grateful it didn't go on the highway.
