Like others have said you`re fine I have a 3200Vig. and a 19K cooler and with the temp in Chicago it never goes above 110* and I have cardboard covering the trans cooler..

In the real cold weather here, single digits, my SS's tranny temp never moves AT ALL during normal driving.
If I give it a few good hard starts from a dead stop, it'll start to inch up a little bit.
If you want to test it for sure, brake-stall the truck for a few seconds. That makes my temp rise pretty quick.

I am guessing that it is fine. I put 400 miles on my truck yesterday and the gauge never even hardly moved. It all depends on what the ambient temp is outside as to what mine reads. When it warms up outside it will read 150 and get up to around 160 when towing. Currently the temp here is -33 so I am not getting a reading at all
