Transmission Temp questions
I just recently (last month) installed a Yank TT3000 and wanted to monitor my trans temp. I bought a set of Escalade gauges with the trans temp gauge. The thing is, It just BARELY moves off the 100 degree mark, maybe 110 or 115 at tops. I know it is cold here in Maryland (30's and 40's at best) right now but I kinda thought it would be closer to the 150 mark???? Does this sound right, or could my gauge be off. They are factory gauges and I bought them new, so it isn't like they are some off the wall junk. Any help???? Thanks

Mine normally runs around the 150 mark but when it is cool out I can see it running cooler. Especially if I am on the highway with some good airflow on the B&M. Although on a cold morning (by cold I mean low 40, I am in south MS) it will take a good while to get up to 150.

The temp sounds a little cold, but I do notice mine dropping a bit low when the outside temp is nice and cold here. It usually stays right at the first big mark (150-160?) when it's warm out. I haven't ran it in the summer yet, but the way the weather is here in Texas I can get a good clue as to where it's going to be at when it's hot out. I have just the factory tranny cooler also. You might be able to get the dealership to check and see if the gauge is accurate or not.

I'm not gonna sweat it too much right now. I'm sure when summer rolls around it will also be up in the 150 range. Right now, after it warms up, it gets up to like 115 or 120. But it sure has been cold out here lately. Thanks.
