Default Trans question/problem?

Well every now and then if I'm carring a load in my truck (not much maybe two large desks and a file cabinet) when I give it the gas from a dead stop it doesn't want to go. Then I let off the gas and it moves fine. Some times when I'm not carrying anything it will do the same thing. I just had my trans fluid changed about 10k ago. I doesn't do it very often, maybe once every 2 or 3 weeks or so. I'm just driving very easy and it does it, not under WOT? BTW the truck has almost 54K on the clock now. Could the trans be low on fluid? The trans isn't about to crap out on me is it??????? What could I do to help the trans last longer or stop what its doing? What could be the problem? Thanks

Does it rev when it does this, like it's trying to pull but just doesn't? If that's the case your low gear clutches are slipping. I would check the trans fluid level as soon as you can, best case scenario, it's just low, bad low.

No it doesn't rev up. When I give it the gas it will move very slightly but it seems like I'm pulling a freight liner.

Question

could be a glitch in the system that is causing the converter to lock and unlock when it is not suppose to.

You think it might be torque management? I notice mine doing it a bit also. More so after the TT3000 was put in. Mine seems to go then drop a bit when the RPM's get a bit higher then pick up again.

Maybe try putting the program back to stock and then drive it and see what it does. If it's the same you might want to take it in to service.

I have had a problem very similar to this aswell. I never did figure out what it is, as mine rarely does it. Mine only did it from a stop, and it felt to me like the trans was slipping or something, my revs would go up though. I don't remeber the last time mine did it though. It might do it 2 times in a week, then go for a long period of time before it happened again I am overdue for a trans fluid change, i've been trying to hold off till i get a stall in it.

I'm gonna keep an eye on this post though, hope you get it figured out. Keep us posted.
