i ve been looking at both the sam cams u found. i also have a 2600 stall but with 342s and a 5.3. i got a buddy that has the Duration: 265 271
Duration @ .050: 212 218
Lift: 558 563
with 3200 yank and 410s and it seems 2 work great. but not sure how it will work with what we got.

for a 4.8, with you stall, i would stay under a 220 duration
i agree, i have a 222/224 in my 5.3 with 4.10's and think it's almost to much, it would be OK with a 3500 stall added in

The 222/224 with my verter and shift kit work great! But my 9.5" 2800 is more like a loose 3200....

Run the 222/224. I loved how the 221 came in on my 4.8 without a converter. Since you have one it will be nuts. Run it and dont look back

Looking at your mods you would probably gain from an intake (assuming you aren't talking about the manifold) I think you've got a nice open exhaust but not breathing in well. Just my opinion

i would either go with the 212/218 or 216/220 either one will perform great in your truck.

212/218...if you buy new, get a custom grind with higher lift, morelike a .585 or .591

i had a fipk and switched back to stock from no noticeable gains and poor filtration

i have upgraded the filter assembley to one from a s2000 adapted to the MAF, i think the problem is the stock 5.3 heads in combo with the 140k miles it has on it, could probably also be tuned a lil better but i don't have time for all that lol
