Just got some Taylor 409 RED 10.4mm wires part number for our trucks is 79205 for those interseted! They are nice I am going to use Red Moroso heat sleves that I got off Ebay to for my OBX headers. But what gap do I use on my NGK TR55's?

Be careful taking those wires on and off they have a tendancy to break easily

For the copper TR55's go with a gap between .050 to .060, I have mine right in the middle at .055. If you were to use the TR55ix's, which are iridium, then you'd want the tighter .040 gap mentioned above.

I ordered the wires from Orileys he had to search the part # on his vendor lookup or something but he was able to order them. And thanks for the gap I think I will go 55 as well.

Thumbs up

Got the wires on and man they are nice! As far as the plugs I ended up going with the AC/Delco 41-985 Irridiums gapped at .040. Now its running smooth again one of my MSD wires was baked and cracked. But I sure like the looks and thickness 10.4mm of the Taylor 409's

So today I went to autozone, and I asked if they carried NGK sparkplugs. One of the guys that works there rite away said, "hey bro ngk is for imports, what you want is something else". he doesn't recommend it ans some other crap. So ithey do have some ac delco iridiums also, and I just go with that. I just figured that, there not only for imports, they obviously make them for silverados so just sell me what I want. Sorry just had to double check and vent lol.

Very few people at the parts store actually know wtf they are talking about. If it doesn't say it on the computer they are lost. Get ngk tr55's. Next place you go ask them if they have ngk part # 3951. That is for the 55's..

I had my old 55's gapped at 55k, the truck after a bit started to idle like crap.. I put new ones in, gapped them to 35k, what a diff it made.. Of course I am FI so need a tighter gap.
