Default LS6 Cam NOOB Questions.

Ok Guys I finally bought an LS6 Cam and springs from an 04 CTS-V. I would like to know if I will need a TBTC? I have 29.5" tall tires and plan on in the future going with 4.11 Gears. I would also like to know if I need to change Push rods to the longer ones? I have heard different things and would like everyone's opinion. I also emailed HP Tuners to see which tuner I needed...I haven't got a response back yet. Do I buy the VCM Suite ($499)? I want to tune my Sierra (soon to be mods) and my 03 Denali XL(stock)

I should get all my go fast goodies next week, and install them the week after.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

1sik02 Your 6L sounds good. Do you remember what you torqued the rocker arms to? I looked up the torque on an LS1tech article that showed 22 lbft.

Read the same earlier today. Check a Haynes Manual. Should be the same.

Can anyone point me in the direction of the NOOB HP Tuner section somewhere? I have about a week before the Tuner gets here and I would like to be able to hit the ground running.

The forum on hptuners.com should have something... download tunes in their repository for looking at general settings.

Took both trucks to the track tonight. for the Sierra, the best out of three runs was a 17.8 spinning the peg leg 1/4 the way down the track. I cant wait for the go fast goodies to come. Hopefully if all goes well, I should have it done in two weeks!

My Stock 03 Denali XL ran a consistent 16.4...not bad for as heavy as it is.

Update...I was just about to stab the LS6 cam into the block and decided to take a break. I checked my PM's and got a reply back from a guy that I had emailed about a 212/218... Needless to say, the LS6 cam is not in the truck and I have to wait for about another week to put in my 212/218! My poor truck is all torn apart and waiting for it's heart transplant!

I am debating wether to install the LS6 cam in the denali or just sell it?
