Default In Tank Walbro Question, nedd help quick!!

I installed my Walbro 255 pump yesterday. When I took off my old pump I had to cut the plastic flex hose. I was going to replace it with high pressure fuel injection hose. Has anyone done this? If not can someone tell me where I can get a replacment hose? Ive called everywhere and nobody has it. Gm wants to sell me the whole float assembly.

GM sells that plastic hose only with the whole assembly. We carry high pressure fuel injection hose at our local Oreillys, but we had to request to stock it. I can get you a part # of the hose, and you can have any oreillys order you some. I did end up doing this on my friends F-body, but the GM dealer said it wouldn't hold up. It is working fine for him though.

I forget if you need 5/16 or 3/8 but the part # for the 5/16th is 27095, and the part # for the 3/8 is 27096. They sell in foot lengths, and are $5-6 per foot. Also you may need to know that the brand is gates so the "line code" will be GAT. Good luck

Check out my post on this very topic https://ls1tech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=213761
I did a LOT of research on this and the stuff at O'Reillys will not work. To be used in the tank it has to meet SAE spec 30R10. Gates doesn't make any hose that meets the spec (according to an engineer on their tech line) PM me and I will tell you where you can buy the right stuff.

Why PM? Post the info for all to see. This could be good info that someone may want to search on in the future. I try to search before posting anything.

This is what I found today
http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
Go to applications roll down to GM and click on where it says LT1 owners read this. Then on the bottom of the page click on Install parts. This helped me with questions I had.

Go to Install parts on that link. They have a hose in there rated for internal tank use.

Sometimes the people who run message boards get all uptight when you reccommend a non-sponsor. Thats why I was offering the info by PM. The place Flatop08 posted is where I got it-super nice people and super service.
