Can someone tell me the difference between the 93 performance and the 93 towing tune....besides the obvious. I have installed both and can't tell any difference between the two. I would think the tow program either moves the power band lower in the rpms or it has a less aggressive timing advance than the performance setting but still more than the 87 tune? Any ideas? Thanks!

 

Pay close attention to the shift points between the two under NORMAL throttle. That is probably where the differance is.

 

I am not sure but it may pull a little timing under load to avoid detonation and /or hold it in the lower gears longer. I have the straight 91 or better tune and it tows fine up to 5500# so far.
