does 87tuning do anything on hpp3?

does 87tuning do anything on hpp3?

i know 93tuning advances the timing but does 87tuning do anything? or does it just leave it stock if u press 87

Yes, it also slightly advances the timing. I'm assuming that's all you're asking as it still does everything else (shift points, shift firmness, limiter, governor, etc, etc...)

sorry i have superchips but my 87 tune i dont think it did crud for the motor jus the trany and t/m but im junkin this thing for a nelson soon =)

it does advance the timing.
some times i hear it detonating on a load around 5800 when it's tuned on 87.
haven't heard any detonation on 93 setting
