"It was a simple study to show that the kit can indeed make good power smart ***......... "

And to refute all the bashers who said the STS kit could never make 600 rwhp.

Jim, IMD, there has been a lot of posts saying that the STS kit can and will never work... Also that it won't ever make power, etc. The respnse of the STS guys might seem over the top, but you have no idea how irritating it is hear the same BS every time someone asks about the STS kits. Hell, there are still people saying it, despite F8Ls numbers, and dyno numbers, and other track runs, and and and...

My stock crossover for my Y-pipe has been replaced twice now. I don't see how any truck w/ a 4/6 drop could run this kit. There was a picture of the crossover pipe, and it hung WAY down under the tranny...far enough that it looks like it would be not only the lowest point on the vehicle, but it looked like it might even touch the ground.

Just wanted to give you a little grief is all, not really trying to make a point or anything.

Zippy, I know what you mean now. The cars are not able to get a 60' to save their *** without boosting off the line. You're a good guy in my book too bro

Scream, I know you're screwing around mate I just wanted you to know they did change a pipe around so now I don't think anything on my kit hangs lower than the driveshaft.

Hmmm, that's good to know. Still, if you sucked up water with a 4wd, I'd hate to see what could happen on a 4/6 truck.

Why can't we get a "traditional" engine bay mount turbo kit at a reasonable price like this?! Have the guys at STS ever thought about a "traditional" engine bay mounted setup? I guess the price difference is due mainly to the lack of log manifolds for the STS kit?

Not always...sometimes you get much LESS than you pay for. This kit is in the $4000 range, the other traditional mount turbo kits and intercooled s/c kits are in the $5000-$5500 range. Some even higher than that.

Where's the $ difference?

Look harder and you will find it. the more expensive kits are more ready to go or easily upgradable, also they may have proven track times. So on and so forth.

You guys can argue it up all you want..... I'm already sold on the STS... I plan on running 8-10 psi with an obx FMIC.

My kit it going on in like a month.. I can't wait.

and now you guys with dropped trucks will actually know that the kit CAN work on a dropped truck.

I have seen Jasons (F8L Z71) truck first hand. I was very impressed with the basic set up. I went for a quick pass with him (he wouldnt let me drive ). I think the STS is a really great kit. There is room for improvement, but thats true about just about everything but the Radix. If I wasnt inflicted with poverty I would own an STS now. (and my truck would be quicker then F8L's )
