Come out Come out STS bashers....Dyno #'s

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Heres the facts:

D1 11psi
huge cam 230/234 .598/.602 114
6800rpm 630hp 550 tq (graph in sig)

Sts gt70 10 psi
***** cam 226/220 561/566 115
6400 rpm 625 594 but the spark plugs blew out
Also having issues getting it to load on the dyno, boost is in 1000 rpms sooner on the street. Also come to find out the turbo makes near 80 more tq and hp on back to back runs cause it cools off to fast on the dyno.

But since the spark plugs blew out and need news ones with different gap thats it for today. This kit will go well beyond current numbers. I have already beat the d1 and all the power is well before the d1 also. Slowhawk can chime in and fix anything I relayed incorrectly. So far so good but not done

Oh and your all welcome

On a serious note, you can't argue with that. I never doubted the power that could be made with that design...I just am weary of the everyday reliability and air filter location. It looks as tho I'll be proven wrong as usual.

those are some decent numbers. i am having a hard time reading that thread with all of the BS in there. seems a few of the sts guys are super defensive. i dont think there were all that many people that said it wouldn't work, just people saying it wouldn't work as well as a traditional location set up.

it apears to be working beter than i would have thought and if i had to choose between a blower and an sts kit i would go sts.

Jim,

I think it is aimed mostly at the guys that are adamant and VERY vocal in the STS threads about how bad they suck and such.. I think pretty much everyone agrees that a front mount is more efficient though

Ohh and the come out come out thing was Mike, I didn't write that :p

Oh yeah? Well it still won't work on a slammed truck.

Good to see that someone's getting some good numbers outta the kit.

so whats the point of that thread? that a big turbo is almost as good as a supercharger? holy ****, thats a bombshell!!!

how bout a back to back comparison of the STS, to an underhood turbo system using the same size turbo, but without 24586345896389 feet of IC pipes.

hey even the electric supercharger makes a couple horsepower.
