Angry Stock Flex plate = SHII!!!!

well, as some of you know that i have an 08 CCSB with a swapped in 6.2/60e.
i found the weakness of the stock flywheel tonight i was going I-10 headed towards New Orleans, i see a lowered Lightening merging on the interstate ahead of me. he gets in it, so i drop to 3rd and let the converter unlock and roll into the throttle about 1/4 way or so. i start to catch up really quick, then all of a sudden 6000rpm within a split second. my first thought, SOB the tranny just went well i get it pulled over on side of the road and all it will do is make a whine noise from the starter like it wasnt making contact with the flywheel. i talk to Skipperdaddy, and Truckshop for a few seconds, Truckshop mentions look at the converter and see if it's turning over. welp guess what....it spins over just as fast as the starter does. yep the flywheel is broken i loc-tited every flywheel bolt, and converter bolt so i know that's not the probelm. it's time to upgrade and lower my shift points back to where i had them. i didnt notice any cracks when i swapped converters so i wont lie and stay i checked it like i should have. i have been fighting a clacking noise for a couple months now...i just found it.

im going to see if TR/Futral....anyone else has one in stock that i can scoop up tomorrow and try and have it fixed before i got back on days. (i got 3 days off but i have crap planned for all of them)

anyone else broke a flywheel?

I've definitely broken a few stockers, I went to a TCI SFI approved flexplate and all is well now

If your flexplate was broken off completely at the hub, why would the converter still be spinning?

think about it....the bolts that hold the flywheel to the crank are still there, it's broken around those bolts which mean the converter is still going to spin when the starter turns the flywheel, but it wont turn the motor over
