If I'm not mistaken, the LQ9 has a higher CR, 10.0 instead of the usual 9.5, so there will likely be less gain from the radix than with an LQ4. Incidentally I gained 74 rwhp (314 vs. 240) with a Radix on my 4.8, so his gain of 86 hp is within reason.

It is hard to say, I mean the truck has the converter and that could change it up a bit. I know that he should have seen more from the tune than he did. Gains of 110-120 on stock vehicles are very common. I know we have NO luck with flow master exhaust on our trucks. Seen them loose 10 HP at the wheels with back to back dyno runs.

Again, each dyno is different and can fluctuate in HP. Like I say, take it to the track. That is the true test.

The Radix system in tune will always add a 100 -120 RWHP to any 4.8-5.3-6.0 truck. Any aftermarket parts will affect the included Micro tuner tune. Also to many back to back dyno pulls may get the system to hot and hurt power. As far a a converter goes it will make lower dyno numbers and better ETs if it is a converter that is set up correct and does not have to much stall. A radix system makes a ton of torque at 2000 rpm so anything over 2800-3000 is to much.

398 RWHP and 412 RWHP - ASM headers, !cats, converter, and tuning

Interesting to say the least. I'd expect more out of the headers and !cats. Maybe the flowmasters are hurting you. I wouldn't think the converter would hurt you that much. I'm even more surprised that custom tuning didn't bump the numbers up even more. Don't get me wrong, nice numbers, but I was expecting a little more after seeing the 378/420 numbers with radix only.
No stock #'s were just a flowmaster no intake it was stock. The pro-cold was installed with the radix-the tune is not to aggressive since its a daily driven truck but when i go back next week were gonna play with the #'s some more-tuning is all about playing with the different spots in the truck till its right. It sure feels a lot faster then 398rwhp i can tell you that. Timing can still be up'd a bit like 1degree more and then next week the magnaflows will go on along with e-fans and t-stat prolly 160 stat.
