Default Stepped band clamps won't fit pacesetter ORY B/C O2 bungs are too close? T or F?

OK
I ordered my headers and want to get some decent clamps.
I have read a ton of threads about the headers etc..
I was ready to order the stepped clamps. they look like a great idea, they won't crimp the pipe at all and y pipe removal would be ok.

But after looking at the header pictures, it looks like they cannot fit due to the O2 sensors being right there next to the edge of the ORY.

So, I guess my next choice would be the heavy guage band clamps. They work well on my corsa setup, but You need to tighten them down so tight, that I think they will cause the pipes to get too tight and won't come apart.

I know that V bands welded on are the .
I do not have that option right now. I will be bolting these on for now.

Any suggestions?

can the y-pipe be slid back any? giving you a little more room to work with? I am goin to get 3 bolt flanges and weld them to my collectors and y pipe. i think it would make taking it apart a breeze?

Have you thought about that? wouldnt be but about $30 or so for 2 sets?

Have you seen the "V-Band" Clamps? Way worth it and don't leak, ask anyone equipped with a front mount turbo.

I would guess that having the Ypipe slid on as far as possible would be best.
Anyone tried pulling it out some for the stepped clamps?

Stone 150
Can you please post some pics.
Every pacesetter pic I have seen looks like the one above.

I'll myself if the headers arrive before the clamps!

now thats just the only version cause i got it also but it looks like it would flow so much better then the one pictured.

i put non-stepped band clamps on mine with a little copper sealant and worked fine. I did have to cut about an inch off each end of the y to fit it without taking off tranny crossmember, maybe you should try that.

Great, Thanks man.

Anyone else have pics of the newer 3 piece ORY and 2wd/4wd headers?
