Yep, I agree with you. Just have a plan of how far you want to take your truck first. I know, that's impossible. My plan was 1. Flowmaster 2. HPPIII. That was it. Now look at me!

the trailblazer converter in stock form will stall pretty high to begin with and only gets much better with more torque. a standard tb converter behind a 5.3 would be fine with a stock cam. the reason for buying something like the vigilante is to get a converter that handles the power much better.
