I think that is pretty accurate.

The weight of my truck is very different than an F-Bod, and the torque is too. From what I'm hearing, the above are the best choices for this much power with this much weight. Just under a $1000 for the Vig though!

I think the sc3000 would be a good choice, but its money! You get what you pay for.

I'm assuming it's less than the Vig though, or close to it. $1000 either way probably. OUCH!

Try FLP,T.Byrne or Thunderracing. They cost about $950 or roughly the same as the Yank SC3000.

I have a Yank SC3000 for a 4L80e with about 5000 miles on it if you are interested for $450.And that's not the 3disk Vigilante.Try www.thunderracing.com,click on manufacturers, click on Precision Industries, than scroll down to the 3 disk Vigilante.

I would definately go with the PI. IMO its a better, stronger converter and it is tighter so drivability isnt changed as much. Ive been in several cars with Yanks and 2 with PI converters. I chose a PI and Im very happy with my decision. Another buddy of mine that used to swear by Yanks has since gone with PI after his gave out on him and Yank refused to warranty it. He said he was still in the warranty period. He has an Fbody with H/C and a 200 shot.

I've never had any problems with a Yank converter I've had 2 a TT3000 with my 4L60E and a SC3000 with my first 4L80E.When I decided to upgrade to a FLP stage 4 4L80E Chuck recommended the Vigilante.
