I added ASM headers and took off my cats but kept the stock muffler and catback. It really made the muffler sound aggressive on the outside at idle. Inside it was still pretty quiet.

I changed the muffler out for a flopro muffler to give me some added flow. I couldn't tell any seat of the pants difference afterwards. I did however pick up quite a bit of interior noice and the classic raspy note of a modded fbody. I wish I still had the stock muffler on.

 

That is kind of scaring me away from buying an aftermarket exhaust i like the sound of the stock muffler but i am not very tolerant when it comes to that annoying droan.( and i am only 20)

 

My Buddy has an 03 SS with dual cut-outs, and its louder than ****....

 

B & B exhaust. Pricey, but NO droan in the cab-sounds good when you get on it-(supposedly) adds 10-18 hp.
