Exactly this. I tried this for fun. I made it 1 highway run before I parked my Yukon and welded in the rest out the back.

Also, if you're not careful the exhaust can really heat things up in its path. I figured the amount of downturn to get the exhaust out of the way of the axle and sway would have impacted my off road ability. Yeah.. my axle and sway got that damned hot.

Then there is the emissions issues. Some states will flag your *** for not having the exhaust exit outside the perimeter of the truck.

Never again....

My Speed Engineering y-pipe rubs on the transmission pan and leaks horribly at the connection where the pipe coming off the driver's side collector connects to the pipe running under the transmission. Have these issues been resolved with this setup?

Lol, thanks for the comments guys. We are very much looking to release it. All the adjustments have been submitted. Hopefully in approx 3 months we should have our first batch of them.

Chrisbequick: I am assuming your talking about our 07-13 Y-Pipe on a 6 speed transmission. We do know they are very close. They were not designed around the 6 speed transmissions unfortunately.

As far as leaking goes all of our car and truck exhaust use a slip fit connection. The only clamps our factory offers us are the ones supplied. Honestly, they are not the greatest. I would suggest running a Magnaflow band clamp instead if your having any leaking issues. Their clamps are a much better design.

Both of these concerns have been discussed in our sales forum.

Thanks
Sean

Any idea if this setup will work with a 4l80E?

Sorry I didn't specify. My truck is a '99 with a 4L60E. I will check out the sales forum you mentioned. Thanks!
