Just finished test fitting the 2008 crew cab. Have a few adjustments to make, but over all we shouldn't need send the prototype back. We will be test fitting a 2003 single cab tomorrow. Here are a few pics installed:

Thanks

Default Speed Engineering True Dual Exhaust Prototype..

How many o2 bungs does the y pipe have just wondering if it's possible to install a wideband in conjunction with the two upstream o2's. That kit looks killer I wanna hear these mufflers

Yes!

Decibel rating at idle, 2500 and WOT, please.

Looks like you guys completely solved the front driveshaft clearance issues!
Awesome!
Now let's hope the slip fittings are nice and tight!

slick_sierra: The headers have O2 bungs in the collectors for the front O2 sensors, and we added an additional bung by the pan for wideband tuning.

ezdaar: Ya, one of the items we're adjusting is dropping the cross over pipe under the transmission. If you look the pipe is higher on the passenger side than the drivers side. It fits fine with the 4L60E, but it will probably hit on the 6 speed transmissions. So we're dropping it down 1" to give as much clearance as possible.

Thanks

It does look like it'll be loud as hell though...

Im worried about the noise level as well. Last time I had exhaust turned down before the axle it was loud and terrible drone at highway speeds. Curious to see what the results are once yall test them out....

Whats the process like to remove the cross over pipe with full exhaust installed?
Is the trans pan able to be dropped with out removing the cross over?

Ya, we wanted to start with the best performance exhaust possible. The nice thing is if it's too loud for you, you can always swap out the mufflers pretty easily and still use the entire stainless system.

ezdaar: I honestly didn't look. I am sure it will be the same as using most aftermarket Y-Pipes.

Thanks

It looks like there is an intermediate pipe between the X pipe and the mufflers correct? This may be a good place to put a resonator or double up on the mufflers with a XR-1 or the like......Either way, for less than $400 I think I can make it suit my needs
