Default Some with a service manual, please help

Could you tell me where the transfer case control module (TCCM) is in a new body style truck. Might also be called ATC or auto trac control.

Could it be called the encoder motor? I broke that part on my autotrac transfer case on my 99 Z71. Its the gear sensor and shift motor unit for the autotrac case. It was expensive. Its part #33 on the pic below:

well, im dont even have the autotrac case anymore. I replaced it with a np241. Im trying get get the service 4x4 light off. I was thinking if i pulled the plug on whatever sends the error code to the DIC, then it would turn off.

parish8 had the same issue. He pulled off part #33 from above, plugged it into the harness, then tied it up the the frame. Light went off and it thinks its doing something when its not.

Get nelson to put you another tune together with the VIN from a truck that came with the manual transfer case instead of the autotrac. Then it wouldn't be looking for the encoder signal.

My SS with the AWD case shows up as a manual 4wd in the PCM.

I think he does.

He was getting a 4wd light that turned off when he plugged in that encoder to the harness. Of course, you could have different causes for the same light.
