Default Service 4x4 light

As some of you may know, I have completly ripped out my 4x4 system that came in my truck. No more transfer case (well with sensors) and no more front diff. Now I get a service 4x4 light in the message center. I tried flashing the PCM with a 2wd tune, but this didnt do anything. Anyone know a way to turn this thing off? I know very little about the electronics in these vehicles, but figure i can cross some wires or smething to turn this off. Any ideas?

Well the comp. is looking for a signal from the sensors that were in the factory 4x4 system. I have no idea how to cure this, maybe getting a 2WD comp?

Its not a bulb, its in the message center.

I have a 2wd computer in it, I have a Nelson tune and had him flash it with a 2wd flash. Didnt do anything.

I believe someone was able to unplug the message center from behind. Not positive though.

I am thinking that it might be controlled through the BCM and not the PCM therefore that is why the 2wd tune didn't fix it. If this is the case you will have to have the stealer reprogram the BCM to a 2wd VIN. Just thinking out loud,it is 330am and I am not awake yet so I might be off base.

Have you removed the Transfer Case Control Module fuse from the underhood fuse box?

Perhaps these will help you figure out which wires to cross:

Update. I did remove the fuse and it didnt do anything. Last night I tore into my dash and found the TCCM itself. It has 2 plugs, once both were unplugged and the ECM reset the light went off. It was not fun getting to the TCCM, they sure to bury it in the dash.
