I found the same pages as well
thats fine and dandy if you have a few hours to look thru it all.
I went thru the first 4 pages and didnt find anything..
plus a was pressed for time, and didnt have time to search each and every post thru the threads that I searched on..
I was trying to get the shop a part number before they closed.
and was looking for something inperticular, and couldnt remember where it was..
so I thank 2004SSS for the quick response in pointing me in the right direction..

that is correct, but when you dont have cats, and your exhaust is 3inch instead of the stock 2.5" you try to look for a cat in the right sized pipe..
I am wanting to put the exhaust back to emission legal, and need to buy some cats..

so with that said, and explained as to why I am looking for cats..
anybody have any info on the diffrence between
the
94609 magna flow cat, and the
59959 magan flow cat

I know the 59959 flows a little better, but by how much???
the catylist is exactly the same so there isnt any diffrence as far as the two working better than the other..
any info here?
thanks
Daniel

Default High Flow Cats

Ok I haven't tested or herd of anyone using these cats yet, but they can be purchased @ flowmonster.com for $42.00 each. A friend just purchased two of these for a custom exhaust that I will be building for his whippled 5.3l. The paper work says that they are ob2 compliant, they seem to be of decent quality, and will flow extremely well. If any of you Houston guys would like to see them before they get installed just PM me.

I understand....settle down. if you get the magnaflows you can always just buy the 2.5 inlet and outlet and just have your exhaust man bend it. when i had my cats cut off and a nelson tune i couldnt tell that big of a difference. i would spend my money on something else, but its yours so...like they say its only money and you cant take it with you.

no body is getting ampped up here...
all I did was explain the situation for those that where not understanding why I was looking for a new set of cats..
I dont have my old ones, and really dont have the room underneath the truck to put the stockers back on if I wanted to.
I was looking for a short cat, that would fit with the long tubes and fit before the transmission crossmember..
If I remmember correctly the stock cats are about 15" or longer???
not to sure about that, but thats what i remmember when I measured the ones I had..
so right now I am looking at the two cats I had listed above..

and dont read so much into what someone posts..
thats what starts alot of ill feelings on a board
I was just explaining a bit more into detail so that everyone would understand better, and used your quotes to reference what I was explaining

now back onto the thread
