The Magnaflows look nice...I believe that there's another company that starts with an "S" that also makes high-flow cats...could it be Spintech possibly?

The cats that came with my StainlessWorks are nice and compact, not sure what company they're made by though. Maybe their website would have some info or you could give me a call and ask what brand of cats they use for the 03 and up Silverado LT and catted y-pipe system.

random technology is another...they're here in GA...good reputation among their customers but more pricey than the magnaflow's...the magnaflow's are the way to go if you are going to run cats...with their flowrate...and price...I don't believe anything compares...

I have these cats, 2.5" in/out. My exhaust might have gotten a little louder, not tremdously though. The cats are supposed to be great, flow 590 cfm, super compact (8"sounds about right), and metallic which can withstand higher exhaust temps. Here are a few pics of mine in a custom 2.5" y-pipe. The pic kind of sucks.

I don't know if it would be EPA approved, being altered from the original manufacturer's design, but you could certainly place one after an off road y-pipe and before the muffler...I don't think there would be any install issues...
