Default Moregrip's Cats - now available!

Magnaflow 599XX Series ULTRA High-Flow Performance Metallic-Cat:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Series 59920:Round, Center/Center, 11" end-to-end
59925 - 2.25" Inlet / Outlet
59926 - 2.50" Inlet / Outlet
59928 - 2.75" Inlet / Outlet
59929 - 3.00" Inlet / Outlet
59920 - 3.50" Inlet / Outlet
-------------------------------------------------------------
Series 59950:Round, Compact, Center/Center, 8" end-to-end
59954 - 2.00" Inlet / Outlet
59955 - 2.25" Inlet / Outlet
59956 - 2.50" Inlet / Outlet
59958 - 2.75" Inlet / Outlet
59959 - 3.00" Inlet / Outlet

The ones I bought are part number 59959 - same as what's pictured on the un-naturally spotless underside of moregrip's truck:

The way these elements are made in a spiral like this would seem like they should be well able to handle thermostatic expansion better than a matrix element. Visually, I'm impressed. We shall see how these hold.

Well, yes. Try those part numbers in your favorite online parts catalogue. I don't think I can be any MORE specific with the descriptions. These are it.

Price was $115 each. I don't know what the flow numbers are, maybe Richard will see this.

Here's the infamous thread where I first saw these...

$115 is a good price, I think they're $150ea on Summit. I didn't want to pay that much so I bought two of the biggest Catco 3" in/out at $56ea with Hooker supercomp and a 4" diesel turbo-back. I haven't welded it yet and I would also be interested in comparative flow numbers. If it's truly better, I would buy the Magnaflow. The Catco seems to have a bigger surface area for the exhaust to diffuse at 6in x 3.25in but the holes look smaller than the Magnaflow.

edit: MPE-59959 I see are $115 at Summit now.

Exclamation

I checked on Magnaflow website and I can't find them, I guess they are the last ones to have their product.

Anyways, what is that max diameter of the 59959 compact cats? What is the flow data for these cats?

Bill
