I don't think you should be as upset with Magnasun. I think you're problems lie more with your tune, so maybe you should take it up with whoever's doing the tuning. Magna does the blowers, that's thier department, and they do it very well.

If you have intermittant misfires (what the p0300 code really means), then you should start with some basic tune up items, like plugs and wires. This could have been something the installer messed up on even, maybe you should take it up with them as well. Bottom line, I think you should figure out what the problem is before you start pointing fingers.

Agreed...changed plugs and wires. tried dealiong with the tune, but Mag just offered to take back the unit as they say they can't support an LT tune. That upsets me as they recommended it and said they had a few trucks in house with the set up! I'm at the finger-pointing stage after trying all else and getting no help from Magnussen. R/

Are you talking about gains from the "TOG to Pacesetter" change or from stock manifold to LT's?

Did you notice or dyno any sort of gain from the TOG's? The TOG's are not shorties. They are equal length mid headers.

Correct, but the AS&M are really Mid Length headers. When I talked to them directly the corrected me when I said long tube. Anyways, that is why probably they do not move the cats. HOWEVER, they are no CARb certified or else I would have them on my list.

It looks like I am going with the TOG's. I just do not want to deal with carb. Hopefully they will show some gains and hopefully I feel it.

I went from TOG"s to PaceSetters. I said, whoever said that a RADIX wouldn't benefit from long tubes as well as it would from shorties were dead wrong. ANYTHIGN will benefit from a better header.

dhpro, you must understand, Magna has a company policy to follow. While they can recommend other modifications, they can't support it because that makes them liable for any other damages incured and also makes them liable for any other aftermarket modification. Once you start deviating from their stock tune for the stock truck, you must look elsewhere for tuning.

Just a general rule of thumb, misfires are not usually at fault of a tuner. Knock or detonation is, however, p0300 is not a code for knocking or pinging.

In my case the install of Dynatech LT's resulted in SOTP increases everywhere and reduced my 1/4 mile ET's by a consistant .5 second as measured by a G-Timer. Don't know if shorties or mid lengths would have netted better results. I doubt it.

Agreed re Mag's policy - but - they're the one's who recommended the DYNATECH Lt's specifically as well as the servos & shift kit when I called to inquire about buying the unit and details. As a result, when my installer placed the order he reconfirmed my specs and what we were doing. Mag never made mention of any issues they might have with additional componenets or any adverse effects...hence my confusion. R/

Again, you need to install the supplied tune and trouble shoot from there. Returning here daily and beating the dead horse will get you nowhere fast.
Please let me know if you intend on taking the advice I have given you, if you do not we will proceed with the buy back of your supercharger system.
