Default Radix and longtubes?

I have heard that shorties are better with the radix. Why and where is the proof? It does not make sense to me.

I doubt that is true. Who told you that? Long tubes have better flow characteristics. The long tubes should give you better HP & TQ numbers over stock.
These are not facts, but previous research leans towards the long tubes than the shorties.

C'mon Todd@prodyno I know ya got some input on this one. I have heard that long tube hurt a stock radix. I believe the theory is the added flow allows boost to lower. So get long tubes and a pulley.

long tubes will still be your best bet with a radix imo. most of the people with radix i believe are running long tubes along with big exhaust systems. some three inchers. i think the shorties will be better for a turbo app.

When I had the side mount on the truck I switched from shorties to lt headers. It made a big difference.

I went from TOG's to PaceSetters and noticed a very big difference.

Seriously? I am curious what range you felt the difference at, down low or up top? I am about to pick up some TOG's (carb legal and the 4x4 thing).
Did you get any before and after numbers?

So basically for a stock truck with a radix go with shorties. I plan on doing a forged 346 if I go with the radix. I am so torn between a radix, turbo and procharger. Ultimately my truck may end up as a tow truck for my fiance's Camaro and I will probably go with a radix.
