Default Radix air to liquid Intercooler System :)

I just got home from driving around in stop and go traffic for about an hour. Got home and I had an overwhelming compulsion to put my finger in the Radix I/C system reservior.
To my surprise, the distilled water/water wetter mix was cold!.........I'm very pleased about that

Logged some IAT's the other night, same conditions, averaged about 100deg with a max speed of 50 mph's.

Happy Sunday!
I'm baking Pillsbury Original Crescent's! mmmmm

I added a antifreeze flush valve to the lower hose on mine so I can easily drain the winter antifreeze mixture and flush the system with cold water between runs at the track.I have also filled the system with ice water before a run, that really lowers intake temps for that pass.A lot of Lightning owner route their cooling water through a icebox.

The Vortech reservoir I have has a drain in the bottom. I plan on draining out a gallon and filling to the top with a bag of ice before a run.

I have been logging IATs as well. I have an in-cabin on/off switch for the coolant pump. At cruise speeds, if I turn off the pump, IATs will climb 12* in about 1.5 minutes. When I switch it on, it gets 10* back in under 30 seconds. Not too shabby.

I am swtiching over to an ultra sophisticated IC cooling system.

Parish-Supply.com Spray Tanks!

Funnel neck tank opening for easy filling.

Chemical resistant Viton seals.

Durable poly tank.

Brass flow control.

14" brass wand.

40" chemical resistant hose.

Standard flat fan nozzle.

Included carrying strap.

I simply fill the tank with ice then add water. This keeps the water near freezing temps to instantly cool the air/air FMIC on my truck. Well, not instantly, in fact I have to spray quite a bit to get it cold but it's pretty cool anyway because I look like I mean business carrying the tank around, or like I should be spraying for bugs near the grandstands.

The unit also doubles as a personal cooling device for those super hot days at the track. Simply aim the nozzle at your face and squeeze the trigger. If you get real thirsty simply stick the CAD designed and ergonomically correct nozzle into your mouth and let er' rip! Personal hydration....

Lets see your good ol' water/air ICs do that!

Yea, look at the size of the intercooler under the blower It needs to be larger IMHO. You'll make just as much power without it

One way to improve the intercooler, would be to add a second coolant reservoir chilled by the AC compressor just before the heat exchanger element.I can't remember who has the technogy to do this, but someone has allready developed a system.

F8L, you can also use that to give yourself an enema. It helps at the track for those between run burritos!

Are you talking about the Radix, I'm going to have to strongly disagree with you if that's what you're talking about!

Man, I never thought of that. a lil colon cleansing never hurt anyone. I'm sure the girlfriend would appreciate a clean air cabin.

Don't mind me, I'm just trying to jack Grippy's thread.
