Default Radiator Options

Hello,

I'm looking for a radiator but I need some help. I'm using a stock 5.3 from a 2004 Avalanche in a 1978 Caprice. I want to install a stock radiator from a Chevrolet truck, but I don't know much about the differences between the years and option packages. For example, would one from a 6.0 or 2500HD be a heavier duty radiator and cool better? A diesel? Are there certain years or types that are known to be problematic and to be avoided (random example: maybe the fittings leak or crack on a certain year or type?) I'm looking for something that has factory dual electric fans that mounted to the radiator. I would prefer to use one from a 2004 model to keep everything from the same type of donor vehicle so it's easier to keep track of, but if there are reasons a different year would be better I would like to know.

Thank you,

The HDs have a bigger radiator, 34” I believe.

For the trucks that came with clutch fans which if I remember 99-04, radiator was 28” then they switched to electric fans 05 was 34”.
