Looking to add just a muffler to my rcsb 5.3. Not looking for any drone at highway speeds.
What size inside and outside diameter do I need to hook up to stock pipes?

I dont understand something......do we put exhaust on? for the sound or for the 10 or so rwhp? I did it for the sound....I can find 10 rwhp in another place....the answer is simple, aftermarket exhaust = loud and fun, stock exhaust = quiet and boring.
I cant believe that two Magnaflows inline would be quieter than stock.....and if they are why didn't you just leave the stock exhaust on?
Sorry, just wondering.........

Everyone I talked to (AZ Speed, Magnuson, etc.) told me that my stock exhaust (muffler at least) was restricting me from realizing maximum gains, and was part of my power problem (turns out it was something else, but that's another story...once they hacked up the stock catback, I had to go aftermarket).
Turns out that was serendipitous, because I'm sure I have more power now than I would have had with the stock exhaust.
Anyway, the point I was making in another thread was that you can design whatever kind of system you want....loud and free-flowing, medium/throaty and free-flowing, or absolutely silent and free-flowing....with Magnaflow mufflers. You don't have to sacrifice quiet for performance, unless you want to.
If you don't believe me, I don't know what to tell you - it is a fact, my exhaust is nearly silent. Sounds like an electric car on the inside. Must be that 40 inches of muffler I have going on.
