Default Quieter exhaust options revisited

I posted last week about my exhaust being too raspy now. I ordered a Magnaflow resonator that should be here next week, but I am thinking now that I should look into a quieter cat-back kit rather than cutting up the Corsa. What do you guys recommend that still flows well but will cut back on the rasp and won't drone inside the cab? Or is my best bet going to be with the resonator?

I put a 2.5 inch dynomax bullet muffler on each pipe where the cats were. That with a Corsa touring is not raspy, and doesn't resonate, but is loud on wide open throttle. Perfect in other words!

Do you think the dual bullets would pass for cats on my visual emissions inspection? If not, maybe high flow cats would be the best thing.

The bullets don't really look like cats. High flow cats are a better option. The bullet mufflers are about $75 a pair. The high flow cats are about $150 each. Since I don't have to be visually inspected here I went the cheaper way.

Of course... you could always put the one bullet in the pipe that goes under the transmission and then make the other one fit between the other punched out cat and the muffler. That would pass the visual.

Nasty N8, how do you like your GTO? I am looking into geting a car and I have been in love with the GTO's styling since they came out, now I am seriously considering getting an 05. What do you think?

It really surprized me it is definatly not GM the fit and finish of the interior is fantastic. Very solid, comfortable and smooth car.

I have installed several MagnaFlows on different trucks in many stages of mods and never get rasp from it. A hair too loud without cats for me...but I am getting old I guess. Never with a Radix but alot of other mods.
