Default quick question

hey i got the engine running good... turned out to be injectors so i put the 5.3 rail and injectors on till tomarow.... anyway so i was refilling my coolant and i looked down and the collector on the headers were glowing red.... not like cherry red but had a red tint to them.... now i havent ever really looked at them when the truck is hot but is this normal or not..... engine isnt over heating or anything just the headers are getting really hot....... now obviously i understand that the truck might be running a little lean with the 5.3 fule set up... so just give me a little input

Thanks
LES

Hot = Lean. The 5.3 injectors and the 6.0 injectors are the same. You've got a fuel problem somewhere. The tune won't make it "that" lean. Don't stand on it too hard until you figure out your problem. I'd check the fuel pressure.

looking at the injectors they look different in the way that thier is 4 hole spray on the 6.0 injectors and thier are only 2 on the 5.3.... but the 5.3 do look a tad bit bigger not sure if they would put out the same fuel... none the less when i release the pressure on the rails thier seems to be plenty of pressure...

I had a problem after putting in a new engine showing a lean code (maybe it was rich, can't remember exactly) but I fixed it by tuning the VE table.
