Are you using a 3 prong puller? If not, then use one, you'll be wasting your time with a 2 prong. Make sure you have the bolt out too. I'm sure you do, but I gotta say it. It also helps to put in a longer bolt in the crankshaft, I think 270mm. This will prevent you from striping out the threads in the crank.

Take the longer bolt and drill into the center a little bit. Enough just to make a little cone shape. This will help locate, center and stabilize the center part of the puller. There are 3 tabs in the center of the hub, make sure the prongs are on those tabs. It takes a little bit of juggling, but have patience. Good luck!

I used a Chrysler balancer pulley I 'borrowed' from AutoZone.

Flyer is exactly right, use the 3 arm puller for "Chrysler" vehicles. I am not sure about the ASP pulley but it should be very similar. If it uses the bolt in style use quality hardened fasteners and you should be good to go.

If all else fails use a propane torch to apply some heat. then I like to use an impact on the puller to provide a little vibration. next time you put a pulley on the crank use some anti-seize. I have also seen where aftermarket pulley's had to be honed to fit the crank properly.

You wouldnt happen to be using a larger version of an A/C clutch puller would ya?? Like the others have noted, get the OTC or SPX 3-arm from Oreillys or something. I had a hell of a time getting my pulley to budge. I anti-siezed the **** out of it before I put it back on.

thanks guys. it was siezed on there. after 2 sets of bolts and 2 pullers i finally got it off the asp udp is different from factory where the 3 finger gear puller will work, you have to use a old style harmonic balancer puller. where it has three bolts that screw into the pully and has a center bolt to press against the crank,
