If you get contact cleaner,make sure it doesn't have lubricant in it...just pure cleaner. That way you won't coat the MAF wires.

Your ecm isn't calibrating the extra air correctly. A tune wil resolve that issue. As for as KN quality .. I just installed a speed enginering CAI and they use the KN filter only. The kit was $72.00 shipped and a help of a lot better clamps and box.

Another option... Disconnect the MAF and run engine a few miles and check codes. The ECM will revert MAF readings and adjust fuel and timing with out it. Clear codes plug MAF in and see if it doesn't code again. Let me know....

who makes the CAI and were can I get it. also I will try disconnecting the MAF first, one's I get time to put the kit back on the truck.
