Default Performance Update & Question

Well I recked my 33" mud tires so I bought some Toyo Proxies ST and decided to go with the stock height to see the performance differnce....

Oh my god! I could not belive the acceleration I have now The truck is amazing. i am not putting huge heavy tires on my tahoe again.

I installed the HPPIII software even though I have a procharger kit. I am not experiencing any detonation. What can I do now for more power????

Get some full lenghts if you do not allready have them, and a torque converter and you should be happy.

Ben,

What size rims are you using? I could not get the Toyo's in my stock height. I am going to have to get a set of 17's or 18's to get close. The Proxes are awsome tires. I went from a 31.65" stock height to 28.99 with the Proxes. Truck moves out a lot better off the line now. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Yep I have a couple of pics. I took them the other day. I can send them to you when I get home today. My truck is 4wd so I didn't lower it. It doesn't look too bad. Makes it look about halfway between 2wd and 4wd. I have been extremely happy with the toyos. Going from the 31.65" stock tire height to the 28.99" new tire height I picked up a lot off the line. Lost some fuel mileage and top end on it. I shift into third around 80 now instead of at 90.

I am using 17 x 9 Weld Racing Wheels. My toyo's are 285/60/17. I bought tham at Townfair tire for 175(each) installed.

I will look into the headers, thanks for the suggestions-

Nice, I was looking at the Weld wheels yesterday. I think later on this year I am going to get a set of Enkei ZXC's in the 17". Mine are currently on the stock rims and yes they are 275/60/16's.
