Lay off the little debbies. plasma cutter, knock the glass out, helium instead of air in your tires.

trailer hitch, spare tire, back seat, sway bars, jack, bed liner...are a few things i would be willing to give up if i were ready to go for that last 1/10 or so.

Dont forget about dropping that rear bumper for a rollpan. Think about a fiberglass hood. if you have electric seats... There are also several small brackets and parts that can be pulled, but they dont add up to much weight.

Leave the tailgate at home if you are going to the track.

-I would think taking the center seat on a reg cab out could save a few lbs.
-Make sure the windshield wiper bottle is empty or just take it out altogether.
-Tow hooks off the front

The tow hooks look like a biznatch to get off of there. It was probably just because I didn't have the right tools necessary though. <img border="0" alt="[guns]" title="" src="graemlins/gr_guns.gif" />

!cruise control
!60 of 60/40 split seat
!spare+holding hardware
!jack
!plastic stuff behind seat(reg. cab)
!tailgate(unless your traction limited)
!EGR
!U-haul tow hitch(aftermarket) 37#'s
!tailpipe(turn down out the muffler)
!skid shields

lightweight battery (track only)
UPD intake is 3#'s lighter than stock stuff. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />

Has anyone ever checked the weight difference between the stock clutch fan and their electric fans.(the whole setups)?

How much do the stock cast iron exhaust manifolds weigh?

How much do the stock lower control arms weigh? I'll weigh my DJM 2" arms tomorrow.

I think we need to start a weight reduction list for the trucks. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />
