From what I've been told, the output shaft and the tail housing are different from the 2wd to the 4wd...anywhere that I could pick those up used?

 

I have a buddy that has a 6.0L/4L80E 2500. It's a 2002, though. What do I need to do, just pull his file from his PCM and then modify my file to work? Or, do I have to blow his whole program onto my PCM?

I know this is old, but I'm just now getting my 4L80E and I'm trying to get everything together now!

I'm not good with the technical stuff but wouldn't it be easier to get a truck that has the 6.0 and 4L80E already in it and swap the whole thing and never even unbolt them from eachother?
I don't know if thats hard to come across or not.

 

Well, that will work unless you want to put an LS1 in it!
