Did you have your d/s shortened? If so, how much?

the stock d/s worked just fine! the 60 and 80 are almost the same exact overall length.

Do you need to get all of the tranny lines? It looks like all 80's came from the factory with a cooler. I don't have one, so will I need to get one, or can I mount an aftermarket cooler in front where the stock one would be?

I would recommend you get one. It'll be easy in my situation since the motor's out anyways + I think its worth the extra insurance IMO.I am not even using the stock trans cooler, but I will be pmounting the cooler in front of the radiator.
I got one of the biggest ones B&M has to offer from Allen. I'm also not purchasing new lines...I'm gonna bend my own.

Guys, another question--what is the difference between the 2wd and 4wd cases for hte 4L80E? Would it be possible to convert a 4wd tranny to work in a 2wd truck? What parts and how expensive would they be?

Try 750 for that driveshaft ... Dennys wont make the N20 driveshaft in our lenght. You need a HD aluminum....
