oil temp gauge

which is gonna make me ask again, do our trucks have an oil cooler temp sensor somewhere? The ECU can read oil temp in Hptuners, but I read somewhere that reading is just a "guess" or something like that, can someone confirm this?

I used a lingenfelter thingie.
I also added a huge oil cooler when I had the turbo. Now my oil never gets hot enough. about 140 degrees is it, Unless I really ride it hard for a little while.

Id go WOT, the oil temp would rise quick, ill cruise for a while on the highway and it DOESNT drop, then when I stop for a while idling the temps would start dropping. not sure, but if thats the case then I definitely need an oil temp gauge, im ordering an expensive custom Ron Davis radiator with a built in oversized EOC and TOC + high-speed fans for this truck all based on the hptuners oil temp numbers.
