Green, I wasn't poking at you, that was more directed to quick and the lack of aftermarket support for the HEMI. If I remember right, he was one of the guys that was all gung hoe for the ProCharger. There was a thread over on DTW about it, someone called the magazine they saw it in and got a pre-order response. Someone else called ATI and they didn't know WTF they were talking about. Said that they had not heard of the kit at all and didn't know where the catalog got the part numbers from.

Yeah, we Hemi owners have been teased sooooooo many times by the aftermarket folks it's pathetic. Both Paxton and Kenne Bell advertised products in anticipation of release dates only to retract all ads and the products themselves. Magazine ads, Ebay, Jegs, etc. The computer secrecy and speed density programming are just killing us, especially for those like me who came over from GM. My buddies tried to warn me about the lack of aftermarket but did I listen?!? Of course not! The advice shoulda come directly from my wife for the ammount of attention I paid to it
The dawn has broken for us now with STS releasing a turbo kit and the breaking of the computer ( finally ). Only thing is that we lose that "can't mod it" excuse when we get beat, tee hee.

No prob, man. I didnt take it that way. Either way its all in good fun!! Thats really shitty that they advertise it on a vehicle when they obviously dont have a functional system.

You know, if GM hadn't built our trucks on the same engine and control platform as the vette and fbody, we would be hosed too. We would be back to running timing tricking resistors and other hacks for more performance. I doubt we'd have any good choices for cams or heads, much less stroker kits. Our stuff is a little expensive, but I'm thankful we even have the opportunity.

KTM
Have you noticed a different mentallity over at the DTW,they defend there trucks no matter how many inhernt problems come with them.Hemi is the best and everything else is slow and is a pile of junk.Of the hemi guys I bet a very small percentage has ever worked on an engine or would even consider tearing into theres, very limited ability over there.Of the guys on the tech forum it's like 75% of the guys here can and do work on major internals.Different breed thats narrow minded over there. One common ground is we all do share the same passion for what we drive.

Yes, DTW is probably one of the worst sites for brand loyalty bashing which is saying a LOT. There are a few folks over there who try to keep things real but overall the flaming is pretty harsh. I am a "lurker" on both sites and get lots of laughs from the hard core brand folks.
Luckily there are folks like Justin/F8L Z71 and others who are VEHICLE lovers at heart first and foremost.
Peace out, party on!

i remeber everybody getting excited about the kb project and i was telling them then what you guys have all come to realize: dcx wasn't helping them with the computer and they weren't gonna have it done "soon" like they said......well, i figured once the cars started hitting the market "they'd(whoever)" finally figure out the pcm, one way or another....
by the way, nice truck dude(it's funny how many people don't get that they lose acceleration with those big *** 20s).......
i'm sure the 6.1 wil get in the truck sooner or later, but they're aren't any official plans yet, other than the jeep srt8.....

I wouoldn't hold my breath on that STS kit. I guess from just passed promises for the HEMI's, I will believe it when someone else has one.

You know .. you guys could get around that computer crap from DC by running a FAST system.

I post on both sites, and I must say by far, this is a MUCH more open minded site than almost all of the guys on DTW. I swear, I've been bashed so much just because I post over there, even complementing on someones truck I got bashed for. I think some of them are just keyboard warriors cause they never show up to any meets. I don't have a lot to say about that one though, cause it seems I can't ever make it to any meets either.

I must say .. I am brand loyal, I like GM, and I probably wouldn't drive many different brands than a GM car, but I can honestly say, I can lok at things with an unbiased, open-minded opinion. Most of those on DTW, don't know what that means, much less achieve it. For the most part, they don't have a clue. There are a few though, who know what's going on, just a handful though.
